FRIDAY night lights aren’t uncommon. Eleventh tier games, under stadium floodlights, in the north east’s Northern Football Alliance are, however, uncommon.
Throw in a 10,000-capacity ground, cheerleaders, a junior tournament, and a team intent on becoming Newcastle’s second professional club, these “events” tick all the boxes for an intriguing night.
