I’VE got to admit that I’ve always been a big fan of the FA Cup.
A long time ago, the final was one of the only games you’d see on TV (imagine that now!) and you would get wrapped up in the whole day from the team hotel to the coach journey to Wembley – and, oh yeah, the match itself.
It might not have the resonance it once did, but it still matters to many – particularly at lower levels. And it’s one of the factors that makes Felix White’s book on the competition so compelling.
