Late Tackle

Welcome to Late Tackle! Edition #100

There’s usually optimism at the start of a new season – this could be the one where it finally all comes together.

Arsenal seem to have been in that position for the last few years now, but can Mikel Arteta and his troops now take that final step and become trophy-winners.

Well, virtually everyone in football has been saying for what seems like an eternity that the Gunners need a top quality striker – and they’ve finally got one in Viktor Gyokeres.

If the former Coventry man can put away a decent percentage of the chances that will no doubt come his way, then it could make all the difference.

We look at Arsenal’s prospects in this extra special 56-page 100th issue and also glance back to a memorable summer for England’s Lionesses.

Robert J Wilson pays tribute to the late Liverpool and Portugal striker Diogo Jota and we include a wide range of articles from Sweden to Sevenoaks Town.

If you fancy writing for the magazine please get in touch. You can send submissions and ideas to [email protected]

We read everything that comes in and use the best stuff each issue. Please do remember that as the magazine is printed only every six weeks or so, we can’t use time-sensitive pieces.

We just want stuff that is interesting, funny, poignant, insightful, or maybe even all four.

That aside, the main rule is there are no rules: as long as your piece is about football (pretty crucial, that) and on the right side of legal, we’ll consider it for publication.
