Slow-starting Hatters need time to adjust to EFL life

Stockport County were widely expected to blitz League Two this season, but it hasn’t quite worked out so far.

The Hatters lost three of their opening four games and began the weekend in 18th place, seven points off the top.

One obvious problem is that they need to keep eleven men on the pitch. Against Stevenage, they went down to ten. Against Doncaster, Macauley Southam-Hales got sent off early.

Mainly, though, it’s just a matter of realising what they’re up against. The gloves are off for Stockport, who have come up with a lot of money and a target on their back. Exactly the same thing happened to Salford, and they’ve consistently struggled to fulfil their potential.

It will take a little bit of time to adjust but don’t forget – they started slowly last year and ended up winning the National League. You too could win by checking out this list of new casinos.
