Having knocked on the door for a number of years, the pressure was on Arsenal to win the Premier League this season – and they delivered when it mattered most.

At one stage it looked as though the Gunners would cruise to the title, but defeats to Manchester City (2-0) in the Carabao Cup final and at Championship outfit Southampton (2-1) in the FA Cup quarter-finals raised hopes in rivals camps that Mikel Arteta’s men could crumble in the run-in.
With Champions League commitments also to take care of, Arsenal had plenty on their plate.
