Andy Carroll suffers yet more injury woe

You can’t help but feel sorry for Andy Carroll…..

The 27-year-old striker was forced off the pitch just 15 minutes into last night’s game against Bournmouth and manager Slaven Bilic confirmed that the striker has suffered a hamstring injury.

Speaking after the 3-1 victory Billic told reporters last night, “It’s a big blow for us because he started this game well

“I don’t understand it because we’re resting the players. We’re not training a lot. We can only hope it won’t last that long.”

Carroll only returned from a seven month lay off in September and has suffered from a whole host of injuries throughout his career.

In 2012/13 the striker missed 13 matches with hamstring and knee injuries. The following season saw Carroll miss 25 games with a foot injury before he was ruled out of 31 games last season with ankle and knee problems.

Hopefully last night’s injury was not too serious and Carroll will be able to rediscover the form he demonstrated at the start of his career.
